The challenge of facilities management, managing assets and spaces, is something that any organization needs to deal with. Organizations need to know what they own and are responsible for, and what condition those assets are in. Emerging technology in capturing indoor spaces and in rendering those spaces and what they contain in geographic information systems (GIS) allows for asset owners to better understand and be more effective custodians of their assets. This presentation will cover the workflows and deliverables for the capstone project in my Master's program at Johns Hopkins University. The project will run through an entire workflow from manually editing AutoCAD DWG's, through converting these to GIS to create a digital twin using ArcGIS Indoors, to consuming the floorplan data in a Field Maps application for facility assessments and an associated dashboard as well as an application intended for stakeholders to be able to view how space is being used in their buildings. The presentation will discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the approaches taken.
